Happy New Year!! Come and see what the Little Lambs have been up to already this term....
This term we have been developing our Baby area.
We have bought new equipment and designed the area so that it allows the babies to see the rest of the environment. Clear screens and playpens encourage the children to communicate between areas, but still providing a safe, exclusive space for the little ones.
Lots of gardening has been happening this January. The children have been sorting the vege-plots ready for planting.
Children from all age groups enjoyed getting involved, plus we sneaked some learning in there too!
Sorting the stones outs of the soil.
Wrapped up warm we all enjoyed the garden!
We found hidden treasure in our vege-plot! Potatoes!! This inspired lots of treasure hunt fun within our planning for the following week.
The children asked for a picnic after playing in the role-play farm and picnic area! Who says picnics are just for the summer!?
The children really enjoyed having their snacks outside in the garden, children who normally are far too interested in playing at snack time couldn't wait to join in!
Observing the children working so independently is very rewarding.
At Little Lambs we encourage the children to achieve this through opportunity, support and praise.
