This term we launched our new recycling initiative. We have been spending time with the children talking about and exploring recycling, and have introduced a new recycling area alongside recycling monitors.
The Families and Friends committee also set the families a challenge to create a robot using recycled materials. We have been overwhelmed by the huge response and magnificent robots which have arrived at Kindergarten.
Which is your favourite?
The children have been collecting sponsorship from friends and family- encouraging them to use as many materials as possible. We are hoping to purchase new ICT equipment with the funds raised.
Some of the robots are bigger than the children!
We did however, have to find a winner! This was an impossible task for the Little Lambs team. Thankfully. Fr Keith came to the rescue! He spent much time studying the robots, but finally came up with his top 4.....
The winner for the Unders 2's is.....JAKE! Well done to Jake and his family for creating this amazing robot and dog. Such a variety of materials have been used to make this fantsatic robot!
The first winner for the 2-3's is...RUBY! So much time and effort has gone into Ruby's brilliant Robot. We partucularly like Ruby's careful painting!
The winner of the second 2-3's is...STELLA! We thought that this was a very imaginatgive creation, with the use of an old dummy and 'Binky' even has a light up heart keyring inside his chest!
And the winner of the over 3's goes to.....Leo! What a handsome chap this is-we loved the use of so many materials which really gives this robot character.
OUR FINAL 4!
ALL 4 WILL RECEIVE A PRIZE, HOWEVER THE WINNER WILL BECOME OUR RECYCLING MASCOT.
AND THE WINNER IS...LEO-CONGRATULATIONS LEO AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR ENTERING.
